What is comedic about Titanic? I didn’t see it. Rather a lot of other themes run through it. I love romantic comedies though no names presently come to mind. lol Hmmm to your comment about teens with a naive outlook to love liking romantic comedies. Am no teen. lol

so a pal of mine said Romantic comedies are the best form of Romance stories going by the sort of audience they get. women like them, so they sell more than the Titanic type ones. What do you guys think?

To catch and sustain the attention and interest of your readers it doesn’t hurt to gift the heroine with good looks.

But in asnwer to the question, Nope the heroine doesn’t have to always be pretty. More work though.

I don’t think the heroine has to be beautiful and again it also depends on the story. I guess its only when it comes to the Nollywood circuit that beauty equals heroine as well as villainess
