TARDY DREAMS
Right here in this town
Lies in mounds our bright light
All by blights made brown;
We survive fights and shows of might by the seated tight
Who give jobs that brings down
All in the pretense of giving us our daily diet.
Right here in this town
Lies the supposed elites
In ponds close to being ground;
Like nuts kept away from the bite
We are confined deep underground
Where we are perched upon by flights.
Right here in this town
Lies the aspirations and plans we write
Clear on tablets placed down,
Struggling is what we do on a wavering kite
But, even with such afflictions around
We run along with smiles and no hindrance in sight.
Right here in this town
Lies the dreams that lacks reprove
Tarry it does but sure to come down,
With the tides and all at ease
We forge ahead on a rebound
At this appointed time, here we come.
Right here above this town
Even with no drawn maps,
Thine eye sees it all,
Rising on fours in rampant evolution
With twitters on both sides in exaltation
And behold the running over.
This is good.
Thanks a lot @kaycee.
This is actually my first and I’m glad you consider it good enough.
