Two Moons In One Night

Two Moons In One Night

Our moon is the fiery eye of the night
They call theirs the sword that stabs the night
How barbaric!

Between our moon festivals is a fortnight
But it clashed this fateful night

God forbid! We can’t share with the heathen a night we call holy
Our moon won’t share the sky, it won’t share the glory

A riot of thunder, a sky quake
What better way to mark the affray
One moon will fall, we were afraid

It turned out we are the only difference between them
Because that night we had two moons, with no fight, not a problem
