Remembering Home

Remembering Home

(for tolase toyin)
the sun died
when your walls fell
i feed on the crumbs
the dust
the dead sun
is buried in cemetery of dreams

the world turned black
when you swallowed the moon
black
the colour of memories

i am paper
you’re the ink that brings meaning
to my being
