In Awesome And Challenge

In Awesome And Challenge

Beautiful-green-nature-with-birds-bue-jay-bird

I stand in awesome
At the works of his hands
Mother Nature is evidence
The universe, a world of great ingenuity
Even man is still a wonder
The marvels of the animal kingdom
I dare to challenge, who says there is no God?

I stand in awesome
Hope which is common to all men
Faith practiced by all
Religion of all sorts points to a direction
Forces between good and evil, all from a source
I dare to challenge, who says there is no God

I stand in awesome
Unexplainable miracles
Beyond man’s understanding
Defiles science facts and figures
Scientist can’t but agree it is divine
I dare to challenge, who says there is no God?

I stand in awesome
Bunch of atheists in confusion
Oh what a pity!
Lack of wisdom and understanding
In chaos the world will be
Psalm says they are fools that say there is no God
I dare to challenge, who says there is no God?

I stand in awesome
Science and technology
Yet scientist still talks of morals
The good it does and the evil it allows
The act of judgment is practiced
But the great and final judge is God
I dare to challenge, who says there is no God?

I stand in awesome
Justice, love, mercy, peace
Injustice, hatred, conflicts, war
Comfort, prosperity, health, wealth
Hunger, pain, poverty and death, all co-exist
The heart of man longs for a supreme being
I dare to challenge, who says there is no God?

I stand in awesome
Who is the creator of the “Conscience”?
Who is he that controls and overpowers all spirits?
Who is the master mind behind the human anatomy?
body, soul and spirit, Who is he? Whoooo is he?
No, not by chance, Indeed there is a God!

  1. The title drove me crazy
but as I read not hastily
I saw the beauty in between the lines
making me jump plucking poetic vines

    Keep pushing on fellow poet
    making words your daily meal
    captivating many a people
to not only your lines but the message therein
    #innoalifa

  2. The first line is wrong. You cant stand in awesome. awesome is an adjective to qualify something.

  3. Nice poem.
The first lines would be correct as “I stand in awe”

  4. @kayceee and @editors: oops! lolzzzzzzzzz… thanks for the correction, I appreciate it. But I just thought that in poems you could use words as it soothes you. I have taken note of it. :-)

@innoalifa: thanks for the poetic comment. :-)

  5. @Olushademi, it’s not false that with your poetic license, you can use words whatever way you can, when you can and how you but you need to consider your audience so that you will not be going so metaphysical or paranormal so that critics like @kaycee will not disturb your poetic spirit…………. Keep pushing on poetic fella……….
