He never forgets His own.
We forget by whom we are owned.
When we mete out to Him irreverence,
How then will suffering not blithe our existence?
He was the willing sacrifice,
such love cannot spring from a throne of ice.
If we knew any better,
we’d realise we are the reasons we suffer.
It is always easy to propagate blame
when pointing at the mirror’s reflection brings too much shame.
Sure we’ve been dealt hard blows
but the sorest depths of pain, only He knows.
We admit our hopes are almost as good as dead-
but do we also admit that we are intrinsically wicked?
His son never deserved the brutality and anguish we inflicted,
yet all we go through is not ample recompence for our sins accumulated.
You will find your answer
when you ask the right questions;
We may attempt questioning the Father
only if we cease to shame Him as sons.
You say we remind God we are His children too,
I say, when you were but a concept, He already knew you.
