Let the music take us to a place where we can mend our broken souls

Allowing our imaginations to take us on a quiet stroll

To an abode that no-one else can find

Built on a virgin island in each of our minds

Where the rooms are a reflection of our kind

Our personalities, the good and bad combined

Where the windows breathe in the light

And allow the moon to keep watch over us at night

Where the chairs wear a coat of dust, just to cut the cost

But around Christmas, receive the gift of a new coat of frost

Where the stairs lead up to another realm of thought

Revealing treasures of the mind that men have long sought

Where the clouds wouldn’t show up just to spoil the sun’s fun

But allow it to do its job, and paint the sky when the day is done

Where the earth would catch the rain when it falls

And the waves would rise up just to look tall

Where the trees would shiver when the wind blows too cold

And the plants would grow, but never grow old

Where the wind would wipe our tears dry

And calm the Weeping Willows if they ever cried

Where the thunder claps would be so loud, they’d crack the sky

And Cancer would just be a constellation, not a reason why people die

Where our reflections could talk back, and tell us what it’s like on the other side

Where our shadows would lead the way, an act as our everyday guides

Where nature would feed us with its beauty to a fill

And time would stand still, just watching us do as we will

  1. Lols, inspired by John Lennon’s song of the same title. But you kinda gave him a good run for it.
