Behold another fiery alarm

Again in the Eden of Adam!

We kill and are killed like Abel

That the deaf can hear the bell

The earth rises and is so angry

Hungry for sanity and so wary

We are crowded by the flood

Wildfires grazing on our blood

Why do you, Oh heat and wind

Wind waters and flush our land

In disembowelment of the earth

In a cyclonic dishevel of death?

Why, why are you so against us?

With crises and clashes as curse

That life’s solitary, poor and short

Violently brutish, nasty and naught

Worrisomely we are warring wars

Tanks on banks, missiles like stars

Possession of biological weapons

Priority and pride of every nations

The heads are legalizing our death

Consciences shut to a mere wreath

That would wither by the next day

In futile flair for any thinkable sway

Come bring the bombs and drones

In fearsome synergy against the foes

They are against us, can’t you see it?

Let’s rise now and save our humanity

  1. nice lines @ostar
the message is powerful…we need to fight for our land

the line about ”warring wars” could be better written as ”fighting wars”. ”warring” cannot be used to qualify ‘war’…

  2. Thanks @topazo. Patriotism can even make one drink the shebet of martydom!

“Warring war” is a hyperbole: obvious and intentional exaggeration.
an extravagant statement or figure of speech not intended to be taken literally, as “to wait an eternity.”

Meanwhile, “Worrisomely we are warring wars” I literarily played (pun) on words; an intended alliteration.

    Happy Sunday!

A Clarion call, so beautifully made!

  4. @josephoguche yes, a call to duty, a call to obey. Thanks
    @kaycee always. Ride on!

  5. Mother nature’s rage as the consequences of man’s inhumanity to himself…the results of man’s destruction of his surroundings and of his fellow man.

The foe is singled out on the seats of leadership while the masses are like sheep to the slaughter.

Very conspiratorial and vivid with strong pointers and words.

    I like!

  6. @Afronuts what words; these are firebrands barbed with wisdom.

    1. Respect must go to whom it is due, sir!
