The World is That Kind of Love

The World is That Kind of Love

The World is that kind of sleep,

Everything is but a dream.

Slowly, time puts us to sleep,

Memories   of   never   ending dreams.

The world is that kind of sleep,

Don’t want   to wake up from your   arms,

Slowly, time puts us to sleep;

I cherish your soft palms

Grazing the world on my face,

The world is that kind of sleep,

Of   happiness   pain  and death’s   face.

Slowly time put us to sleep.

We lived temporary in dreams,

The world is that kind of sleep;

Of love yearning for a true dream,

Dearly   beloved  in  eternal   sleep.

The world is that kind of sleep.

Time steals meaning of love;

True love erased by need,

The world is that kind of love.

  1. I don’t believe that time steals love, I believe however that we stop working for the other person’s affection and so drift away. Romance is for but a season, it’s what we’re versed in.

    Thanks for a wonderful poem. :d
