Silence; the shroud of peace and comfort
Solitude; the blanket that shrouds all in protective embrace
The oppressive quietude that hangs overhead
Leaves everything cowering in daunting solemnity
As the wind whistles by, kissing and caressing the leaves and the shrubs
Listen,
Hear the ants and other insects going about in the deep wood forest
Watch the birds fly high in distant skies
And the fishes swimming gloriously in the cool, refreshing stream
as it flows on its long journey into the big river beyond
Feel the rustling of the leaves and the swaying of the trees,
as they bow their heads in perpetual obeisance to the rushing winds
Let the tranquility and the spirit of the calm jungle atmosphere
Permeate your whole being as you wallow deeper in the waters of
SOLITUDE.

I feel like I just read the soundtrack to my life at the moment. ‘Like I’m one with nature’…a little solitude is great for the soul.

I actually felt like I was sitting in the woods…nice one, good for a poet’s soul.
