Oh, and I just remembered this quote (it might not be relevant, but that’s me! I’m not most times, lol) “Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown”…Kindly tell me if it makes sense to you, AT ALL.

“Haven’t you seen dwarfs stand tall”? Wow! Hahaha, Who writes that, huh? That’s such a powerful statement to make. Although I’m having a terrible headache right now, I’ll still rant, lol. As long as we’re still alive, all we have to do is keep striving, and searching, and sure enough we’ll get there. It takes [...]

It said it was gonna be funny, so I came here with the intention to laugh. was I disappointed? Maybe, maybe not! I thought I was gonna be laughing out loud, rolling on the floor..you know that kain ting, lol? But anyways, it did bring a smile to my face. I agree that you should [...]

  • Ayokunle Falomo commented on the blog post The Spider and the Walls/Macrame Panorama/Durian   35 minutes ago · View

Ahaha, I love the first one. Very smooth transitions between the imagery and the rhyme, I has a nice rhythm…slightly fun(ny)…but that’s because I read it aloud. The second one…nice attempt at Haiku. I’m planning on doing a Haiku series soon. Got a question though, do you mean the world(since that’s what you were talking [...]

Isn’t that all we can cling on to now, just memories! It’s sad! Everything that once was is no more. I love this line: “Now, crime booms like crude.” And I can totally relate with the paying fine for every time you say “vernacular”, twenty naira for every word if I can remember. MAD! I’ll [...]

I love this, quite unusual! Guess what I did, I tried to read the lines that rhyme, one after the other, as in:

    When power creates beasts,
We’d be called to different feasts,
    And greed becomes creed…
To dine for those death’s freed.

It’s just me messing around…It’s an interesting poem.

@Xikay, I feel honored. Thanks. Basically I wrote everything, except the last one, in one sitting; so it’s sorta like a collection, you know? But thanks again, appreciate it!

@Scopeman I’m really glad you came back to see how it ended. Thanks for your comment.

  • Ayokunle Falomo commented on the blog post A god I am   3 days, 2 hours ago · View

Ahaha, Indeed WE..oh sorry…you are a god. WE…oh sorry again …you are just sharing the ability of the Master Creator himself - GOD. It’s only right and sensible for us (scratch that, YOU) to create, since we (YOU) were created in his image. However though at the end of the day, we are all still [...]

Hmm! I really don’t know what to say…The poem is good, and that’s assuming that I got the interpretation of it. Basically old traditions vs new, right? How things are not the same way it was? And possibly how we are to accept the fact that we might never get those “good old days” back, [...]

Ahaha, this is about people critiquing others’ work, innit? Yes indeed, tear precious words like mice. I love it, especially the sarcastic undertones it has… They sit on thrones (Clay albeit) and they think they are queens, and kings…Lovely. Anyways, I know this time u’ll want to send me on (t)ex(t)ile like you promised, lol. [...]

Lol, I wish I could speak Japanese. Haiku just happens to be the only word I know, lol, and it’s only because it’s a art movement. Thank you @Scopeman for reading though.

This poem clearly shows that writer block is just an excuse for a lazy writer, ahaha. Why do I say that? Well, when a writer has writer’s block, all he or she has to do is to write about it, that way, s/he won’t have writer’s block anymore, lol…u get? Lovely poem by the way! [...]

Ditto Scopeman. I agree it can be frustrating, but put into account that others are here too who might feel the same way you feel. It’s a community bro, and I say you try your best to deal with it, like the rest. Again, welcome to the site…Pretty soon, it won’t be that much of a bother, trust me!

In reply to - 4ran6 posted an update: How come my works take too long to be published on this site? I detest it when I see pending… My works are mine, is my crime sharing them here? Hook up with me on facebook jare: Francis Attah Egu. I’m out until the wind of change blows here! · View

Ahaha, I made it up @Myne. Although not entirely though, you are aware of what minimalism is, right? I borrowed from that…Interestingly, I’m planning on dabbling into Haiku. After this series, that’s what I’m doing next, lol. Thanks, I DO appreciate you stopping by, I really DO! ;)
