The Procreator

Dear mom, i said a prayer for you to thank the lord above for blessing me with a lifetime of your tender hearted love.
Before I was born you kept me in love,i¬†know 6935 days are never enough to show you how much I appreciate you,I can not give you costly gifts and i’ve told you this before, no matter what I give to you, you give back much more. Anytime I need someone to talk to you’re always there to help me through and anytime I need a favour you always seem to be there too.
Yes, we’d argue and we’d fight, but though the tears and drama, you mean the world to me.
I love you with all my might, even though I might not say it all the time, I really appreciate all you do, so powerfully blessed is how I feel for having a mother like you.
‘First you don’t succeed, dust yourself off and try again’ one of the numerous comforting words you tell us, and when you see us finally succeeding, you have this big smile that can light up the world.
You loved me right from the start, you held my little fingers close to your heart, the bond that grows will never falter, your love is so strong it will never alter, a love that remains as constant as the stars in the heaven above.
We all learn to love but not from a friend, I learned your strength and when I should bend.
Beauty and grace through your expressions of faith. The dearest mother in all of the world is one I call my own.
Orisha bi iya mi ko si laiye.
Thank you mom, for always being there.
Thank you mom for showing how much you care. The years have gone by so quickly and things have changed for us all, you are the strongest woman I will ever know. The love I still have for you mom is the same love as when I was small.
You are simple yet elegant, coarse but redefined, if I had to choose, I will choose you over and over again.
Without your every support I will be nowhere.
You are the star at the top of my Christmas tree.
I woke up this morning eager to unwrap gifts under the Christmas tree, but as I approach the tree it dawned on me that my gift has been unwrapped a long time ago.
The greatest gift i’ve ever gotten is you, a gift no money on earth can buy.

  2. This is beautiful. We thank life for our mothers.

  3. Lovely! My mother is my best friend… This is just beautiful!

  4. A great combination of prose/poetry that lot is a hard one to pull of. I think you did justice to the words. But you forgot, you were writing an hybrid genre, you gave way only to prose.

Overall, it was a great read, Nothing like a mothers love. Happy New Year.
