Mad men with knives and scriptures
Angels of death with halos resting on their heads
In chorus the living and dead mourns
Death now a next door neighbor
Unabated by the tears of the living and the dead
Garment of peace too tattered for our heart
Under the canopy of fear we rest, beside
Running stream of blood mixed with tears
In the home of peace

  1. Real deep and short.
    straight to the point.

  2. @obiink. You just summarised Maiduguri

  3. @obiink. You just described Maiduguri and other places in conflict in poetic language. Well written.
