Choice

Choice

What is choice if I keep hiding from my deeds?
Choice is the free will that enables us harvest from
our seeds.

Do we have a choice to live or die?
Do we have a choice to fall or fly high?

What is choice if we are unable to decide?
Whether its Heaven or Hell we want to reside.
What is choice if we are not allowed to make
mistakes?
Living and dealing with it,no matter what it takes.
What is choice if we are unable to make one?
Unfortunately we made one.
We crucified God’s only son.

What is choice if I am chosen a wife for?
What is choice if I am unablecto ask for more?
What is choice if I am unable to choose my family?
What is choice if I am unable to live heavenly?

She gives her body to make a living
He cons that man with so much deceiving
She is love smitten, but all his lies, she is believing.
Adam chose the Forbidden, now unending is the sinning.

Choice! Choice! Choice!
I’m, I just to hold you responsible,
For the so many baby mamas?
I’m I just to hold you reaponsible for the Alu4,
Traumas?
It begs an answer. Anyone reading this, please oblige my senerity of mind.
Because freewill is about making me blind.

I’m just saying, I’m just saying

Sometimes I wish we were God’s zombies.
His bidding we will always carry out like Dumb bunnies.
Less of the killings.
Less of the battery.
Less of the incessant inventive cruelty.
Less of the suffering, if Adam had chosen to love Eve less.
But he did more. That was his choice.
He gladly listened to her sweet convincing voice.

I’m just saying, I’m just saying.

Will it be wrong putting it all on the woman?
Will it be wrong, if she had been punished, tilling the ground with the man?
Instead of hiding behind the labour room.
And addressing the earth with her broom

Omce again, I’m just saying? I’m just saying.
My thoughts are becoming hazy; starting to be straining.

This is not a backlash against the feminine.
Its just a thought that I thought everyone of us should examine

At the end of it all, we have a choice to resist temptation.
He has given us a choice to create a fretless revolution.
He made a choice to send his son to be crucified.
We, His creation, he wants to be purified.
With Jesus,we and God are unified.
To love, I just made that choice.
I’ll follow my heart; I’ll listen to that voice.

  1. “Sometimes I wish we were God’s zombies.
His bidding we will always carry out like Dumb bunnies” I whole heartedly agree. Sometimes I wonder, If free will is more of a curse than a blessing :-(

  2. Hahahaha
I’ve always maintained that man was never free to make any choice from day one! The idea of leaving someone with options should presuppose that among the choices, any one he/she opts for would be accepted. If not, then there’s no point in leaving options in the first place. That’s why I so love this line: “Sometimes I wish we were God’s zombies”.

But then, I find it rather embarrassing, as usual with your choice of words, that you should generalise such thing as murder! Thus you wrote: “We crucified God’s only son”.
When you use the subjective, collective pronoun, ‘we’…I beg to exclude myself. I was not part or parcel of those who crucified the son of God. I was not even there when it happened, so how would I now partake in the blame? It beats my imagination!

Nice write again @thaprince and please do thorough rereading and editing of your works. You seem almost always in haste to publish.

This is really nice @thaprince You always find a way to create clear meaning. There were a few typos though, but not enough to hinder the message.

  4. (@Chime221): We is collective but specific. I wasn’t there myself but it was humans like us dat did it, doesn’t mean it was Chime221 or my humble self. Its just a way of expression.

Its like saying, “Nigeria is corrupt”,but (@Chime221): are you corrupt? I want to believe no It was specific but not to individuals but to a certain class of pple.

    Thanks for reading bro.

(@Roy-journals): Thanks bro. I read ot thru but I am dissapointed dat the errors still appear.

(@kilmahhart): Yep. U sure ryt bout dat. Thanks a whole bunch for reading.

    1. It’s not the same in the actual sense my brother @thaprince

It’s weird the way people take responsibility of things like that. But that’s ok. I’ve made my disclaimer already anyway.

  5. (@Chime221): There’s no p bro. Its all gud.

  6. @THAPRINCE. Insightful and thought provoking, a good piece.
Going by the general norm I don’t think we have a choice in anything that we do that decision has already been made for us. As those who believe in predetermined destiny say “what will be will be”, or as God in Islam says ” be and it must be”, even freewill is not a choice we choose I’m sure there are people who will choose not to have freewill if given the choice.@CHIMEE221 I feel you.
