M.U.M- Miracle Unto Me:-

motherhood

It’s a Miracle Unto Me, looking into her sparkling eyes and saying, “my dear mum!”
She’s my sunshine, and with smiles so bright always, I haven’t known of any dark moment in my life. With these soft fingers of hers, she tendered me while I was cuddled and suckled in her warmth. She picked me up and raised me high each time I toddled and tripped!
And busily she would whisper into my ears, “My son, I love you.”
The name of my gorgeous mother is Monica. She’s so graceful and beautiful! What better words to express the quintessence of womanhood than these words? She’s more than money or cars of any fashion and style.
Not that she’s better than dad; but she’s the best! Her love hallows our home: her voice a delight, her presence luminous and her caring heart courageous. Her belief in me is so magical.
Above all these, there’s this fragrance of No. 1 Paris Perfume I love on you, darling mum. That aura tells of the scent of a woman; and the well tailored Julian Taylor’s dress that makes you so angelic.
You’re just woman. I love you!
Happy Mother’s Day.

    Nice words

  2. @ostar, well-chosen words but the structure almost betrayed the poetic nature of the poem…

  3. @ostar you used to be a very good poet.
    What happened?

  4. Not a poem. Is it?

  5. Wrote for Mallforafrica’s celebration of Mother’s Day.
