Africa Rising

Africa Rising

Africa is rising, Africa is dicing

Africa’s liaison, will be that reason

From east over to the west

Damn the north it seek not best

Ah yes the south is placed in light

Surly its light will break forth night

When wisdom ocean flows

Will wash away pain and sorrows

As they do, the stars shall sing songs

As the sun and moon birth strong’s

Speech will break forth silence

Silence will calm all violence

Give to white what is white

For blacks will become as light

Giving black culture its back

Man knows not he knows no lack

Come forth, children of the sun

And take your fill, from its cauldron

Fear not what maybe, life is bliss

All that life should be is peace

  1. Nice poem.
I liked some lines esp ‘give to white what is white, for black would be as light. Cool. Equality pays and keeps the peace.

The word ‘Strong’s doesn’t look too good. Surly should be surely. The last stanza ‘and take your fill, from its cauldron’ can go without the comma.
    Well done, Oji.

  2. A fair attempt at best. Rhymin was forced in some places, but it will do.

    Next Time, Chisom.

  3. Yeah nice story. Ditto Hymar and Bubbllinna. In all this is good.

    Weldone.
