What is the essence,
Of cocky dress sense,
When you have nothing to show,
In your inner you,
Where, quite true,
Your honest self and attitudes flow.

While others look,
At covered book,
And see what you choose to reveal,
I look beyond,
Parted palm frond,
To see what hides behind the veil.

Thus it makes no sense,
To have good dress sense,
And hope to hide the fact,
That you my dear,
I do sorely fear,
Are lacking in decorum & tact.

  1. I like the poem – I like the message.

The construction; however, of something so profound, is weak.

    That second verse particularly sucked.

    “While others look,
    At a/covered book(s),
And see what you choose to reveal,
    I look beyond,
    The parted palm frond,
To see what hides behind the veil”

    Get better!

  2. I like the attempt at rhymes, aabccb kinda rhyming.
But note that ‘reveal’ and ‘veil’ do not rhyme. Also, you forced ‘look’ and ‘book’ to rhyme cos ‘book’ should have been ‘books’ like seun pointed out.

Good work, overall. You can be the best.

    God bless you!

  3. You are good at this.
    Well done.

  4. Try to be more natural and consistent. Some of the words you used are so different it makes the poem kind of incoherent.

  5. i get the massage and i like the attempt at rhyming. well done!

A good dressing sense makes you perfect men. So try to make your body physique unique from others and wear business shirts
