The Minimalist’s Metrical Scheme: The Final Episodes

The Minimalist’s Metrical Scheme: The Final Episodes

EPISODE 7

There

is nothing to fear

Dear

It’s nothing, forbear

The pain

if just for a little

The pane

it must spur a giggle

EPISODE 8

Die

Must I?

Why?

Questions unanswered

But yet I must

The knock on the door

It has to be answered

I must return as dust

Bye

EPISODE 9

Fire

The words from your mouth

Desire

From a place deeper than the south

Die

I never want you to live

Shut the door behind you

Lie

I never want you to leave

EPISODE 10

Silence

It’s music to my ears

LikeViolins

It takes away my fears

Unlike Violence

Silence

1, 2 or even a million minutes of that

does nothing to bring them back

Why do we bother

To even remember

the ones gone up yonder?

I wonder!

  4. @Xikay, I feel honored. Thanks. Basically I wrote everything, except the last one, in one sitting; so it’s sorta like a collection, you know? But thanks again, appreciate it!

    1. Thank you guys again, especially @Raymond, it means a lot to me since you say you no be poetry person.
