When I Sing…

When I Sing…

I will sing today
The songs of tomorrow
Clad in nude notes
Claps of thunder and earthly tugs
Render beats and rhythm

When I sing, tomorrow
Becomes today, and uncertainty
Bows in eternal submission
Knees kissing the earth
Tongue licking dust

I will sing today
That song of awakened rivers
With voice of virile timbre
Pitch of Babel height
And soothing words

When you hear me
Wipe those tears of mercury
And lost hope.
Click the glasses
And sip in unison
