I finally got around to this. I only just saw your message.
The work is good. Others have said many things and repetition would not benefit you.
Could I just suggest that you add some darkness to the first part […]

Interesting idea, and one I fully support.

This needs a human face. Who can we interact with in the SYNW?

Fagunwa is one of my favourite writers and I’ve been looking for some Yoruba editions of his work […]

    Hi John, @lighthouse
    Ambitious work indeed.
It reminds me of the works of Milan Kundera. Vastly symbolic prose that is thought provoking.
This works best as a reflection, rather than a story in that there is no […]

    Hmm, who is the woman?
“Eni p’owe ni ile ano, ni o tumo e.”—>”he who tells a proverb in the house of his in-laws must interpret it”

One more thing: it might strengthen the story to add some detail however minor about the ‘father’ of the child. a line or two. Nothing major.

Not bad. Very spooky, kept me reading to the end.

Needs wee bit of copy editing and there are a few POV issues, but by and large one of your strongest stories, Raymond. Very well done. I could […]

    Sorry, @raymond.
Sometimes my enthusiasm runs away from me :)
Not being a lit or English major makes it unclear. I’m sure there are people more qualified than I who can explain it better :)

RE: Author versus writer: It’s even more complicated than that. In critical literary theory ‘writer’ is the person who produces the work, but ‘author’ refers to the intent behind the text. Confusingly, they […]
