joy1 wrote a new post, Complicated 3 weeks ago

You sometimes make me cry and at the same time smile

You are near yet can only be reached in distant mile

I hold you in my arms but still sense your fluidity

Makes me doubt anything as certainty

    Seeked […]

It was a bright sunny day while myself and my family members (excluding dad because he was at work) were at home eating lunch when a stranger unexpectedly walked in on us. “Hello everyone, I am Mrs. Helen Amadi. […]

Nice story line… indeed Naija mums are yet to know the difference between home and away. Kudos. Ditto on the typos.

I quite understand the angle which the poet is coming from. This message is not just for the primary school pupils but for everybody. If only you know @Kaycee.

I most especially like the title “Raging calm.” They are two contrasting words which you were able to properly blend together to make a whole lot of sense. Nice one.

When I read the first part, I thought “wow” and said “this is gonna be the peak of it.” After reading this part, I became speechless and this got me thinking “so naija person still fit write this kind stuff?” Guy, […]

joy1 commented on the post, ALMOST ALIVE, ALMOST DEAD 1 year, 5 months ago

During the course of reading, I had to start piecing it all together myself which ought not to be. The story line was kind of going back and forth and I particularly didn’t understand what happened at the end. […]

joy1 commented on the post, What makes you a man? 1 year, 5 months ago

As for asking a man for fees when due… I wouldn’t totally agree to that. I ask my mum then she knows how to ask her husband! In all, a man is he who is able to stand by his word and accepts responsibility for […]

joy1 commented on the post, BORED! 1 year, 5 months ago

It depicts what happens in most homes these days, where the man leaves the woman at home without considering the fact that she would rather be somewhere else at times. I like this poem. Well done.

@gooseberry, tried it severally and reached same result. E no easy oh. The stress of holding the bottle in place alone, not to talk of positioning your thing!… try it out if you’re a girl.
