Don’t worry, we wouldn’t be only speaking Shakespeare or Soyinka…

We have duets in music and things like that, can we consider making a duet with poems too? Starting one, moving on and another person continuing till it can move no more…It would be fun.
January 23, 2012 at 2:02 am #110319Okay, I was thinking of linking poems together. IT is something that used to be very popular in the days. Someone starts a poem and another continues till it keeps growing, each person growing it…This I think would be fun. So, I call on the poets I know – all, from @shaifamily @dowell @babyada @sibbylwhyte @eldee @adaobiokwy …. let’s start it rolling…To make it fun, one can even catch or force another person with a mention to continue…So, I can start and at the end call another poet to continue and if that poet can’t, the person would have to forfeit, say, 10 points to whoever called the person and nominate somebody else…Till the poem can’t go no more…Warning: WHatever you write must make sense to the whole poem o! So, biko, no fall hand. I only wonder what we should start the writing on…@kaycee @seun-odukoya @jaywriter @missmeddle @Easylife2 @scopeman60
Okay, I start (remember you can twist to your taste…) Let me think small…

Of the sweetness of your words I fear
Finding in them a gracious tear
Fantasy at the side
Efforts failing, reality too strong to hide(who next?) join!
January 23, 2012 at 8:06 am #110322hmmm. I hope this will work. I actually prefer to work together with people….let us knock it out first and see how we re progressing. I am open to an invitation….let’s see how it pans out.

Sweetness that creeps silently forth
Enveloping my fears and secret anguish
Here, I lay it before all to blot
This pain too much for me to publish. There u go….

That I would read with relish
Our great poet…
You have started this duet (@sueddie)January 24, 2012 at 8:48 am #110325If only it would reawaken other poets
To take up this call and make the others sweat
I saw a renaissance springing forth
But, is that just my imagination crowding me out?January 24, 2012 at 8:56 am #110326Imagination needs a wake up call indeed;
Go beyond mere words, live in deed
And then when you’ve lived what you preach,
See how much silence can widen your reachJanuary 24, 2012 at 9:50 am #110327For silence they say is golden.
With written words our world is unfolding,
Taking us far beyond our horizons..
Extra minds are welcome in this liaison..January 24, 2012 at 9:51 am #110329For silence they say is golden.

Flowing free and freshly scrawled
Look, see what tumbles out
When the poets gather round like scouts….Dunno about that last line. Hehehe.
