…Which actors and actresses would you prefer to play the roles in the work?

    Here’s how we do it.
Choose any work you’ve read on NS and suggest who you think can play the role if adapted to screen.

For example, for JOIN THE QUEUE by @TolaO , I would choose the Naija comedian Basketmouth to play the role of ‘Amaziah’. The guy has a way with making issues like the one in the story into a laughing matter.

If “Lagos 3″ was to be adapted to the big screen, I would like Rihana or Kandyse McClure to play the role of Ekundayo.

If “Its Not that Easy” by Lawal Opeyemi was adapted, I would like Chidi Mokeme to play the MC and Rita Dominic to play his wife.

For “Love is like an Opiod” by Fiyinfoluwa Akinsiku, I would want Ekwi Onwuemene to voice or play the part of the MC

And to add to that: I think Chidi Mokeme suits the role because he really cuts that player figure for me perfectly. I love Ekwi’s voice! I just have this feeling that the MC in @fiyinsiku‘s “Love is like an Opiod” is a well-spoken lady with a certain swag about her, and Ekwi cuts this figure perfectly for me.

@chemokopi, I think I transferred some things abt me into my MC. A part of who I am beneath d surface.. Thank u.

@fiyinsiku: I guessed as much. A writer once said that when we write we seek to discover ourselves in the works we create.

For Lagos 3, I would love Ellen Page and Ryan Gosling. Nollywood then if they can act, Sibbyl and Raymond.

For Cold Feet and Little Lodge, Mahjid and Tonto Dike.

Seeing Off Kisses will be same Nollywood cast as Lagos 3.

If ‘DIRECTIONS’ by you-know-who is to be adapted into the big screen. I think basket mouth should play shirt while jide kosoko plays as suit.

@jaywriter,Ellen Page?I liked her in Inception but she hardly looks like the character.Remember Ekundayo is half Nigerian, half Hawaiian. She’s a good actress but I don’t think she could pull this off. :-) Also the person has to be tall. She’s only 5’1″.Ryan Gosling is too old. :-)

But I see a sadly-sweet faced Ellan Page exchanging letters in the prison with Ryan Gosling. It’ll be sweet. Ryan Gosling can be changed to the guy in (500) Days of Summer, Inception and Dark Knight Rises. Think his name is something Gordon-Hewitt. But still Ellan Page for me.

@jaywriter,Gordon-Hewitt is also too old.The characters are in their 20s.This is not “Grease” :-)
What is wrong with Rihanna?Did you see “Battleship”?She was good.

@jaywriter, I love Zoe Saldana. She was awesome in Star Trek and Avatar. She is tall too but she is 34.Zac Effron is the right age. Have to think of this. How are you going to explain his complexion?

She is 34???? Didn’t know. Slim girls have a way of confusing people.

Rihanna then. I’m just wondering if she’s artie enough for the role.

And we don’t have many popular actors in their 20s here. Probably because we don’t have enough 20s themed movies here too.

@jaywriter,how are you going to explain Zac Effron without changing the plot?
I think Rihanna has enough baggage to pull it off. Also her eyes are what I am looking for.She just need some dark blue lenses. There is also a grace and elegance about her that fit the character.
