Anderson Paul

Avatar of Anderson Paul

I am the embodiment of strength, Of selfless love and comely patience. I am laughter found and tears lost. I see,i live and i breathe in words. I see life as a vibrant art, In its throbbing heart, I dwell.a pulsing beat. I believe in defying the odds and traversing the virgin routes. I believe in my vision and in my vibrant youth. I hope one day to see my mission fulfilled To see the fusion of my words and reality be, I am a strong and patient AFRICAN,a timeless being.

A New Anthem

See how you loudly prattle In a mishmash of assorted preambles Your bulging belly, wrestle to be free Your fickle smile threaten to flee You prance around in garland of excess brocades Waving your wand [...]

The Storm

When it came, it didn’t trickle down slow and labored like the tears that dribbled down my face, the rain came down with brute ferocity, Its sound drumming fiercely on the roof in excited chatter. [...]

Sweet Ember

January ends my holidays
My dreams to sleep, eat and play
How could february be so dreary
To harbor the fall of global economy
So fleetingly, came march
With the brief excitement of a flickering match

My First Kiss

Your luscious lips adorned my neck
Upon my nose, you dropped a peck
Your soft beard tickled my burning skin
As your fiery breath sent shivers down my trembling being.
Your tender allure held me sway
As you touched your lips to mine
Stealing my breath away.

My Child

Behold, the beauty of this child
Those bright eyes, innocent and wild
His grin, wide and sure
His laughter, a wholesome cure
See his ever comely smile
The grace he beholds his kind.
Tender and fragile to the sole of his feet

A Great Poet

I congratulate you great poet
For winning the prized Nobel laureate
You told me poetry beckoned
Then, I asked you how
You told me you were determined to till
Drown yourself in the puddles of your ink
Until the hungry world has had its fill

A kid's prayer

As i face another day,

Watch over me Lord when i play,

Help me not to cry when i fall.

Instill in me your sweetest love.

Fill my heart with your truth.

As i’ll soon become a youth.

Teach me not to steal,

Nor to lie.

Take me to your bosom,

There,let me lie.

Young Maiden

Oh fair skinned beauty

Why do you prance around like a wayward chicken?

See your soft skin glow

With the sheen lustre of many diamond stones.

When you walk

Your twin fawns mercilessly bounce

Its ample bulk convey a communal dance

Its proud nip thrusting forth like a royal crown.

See your luscious backside sway

Like two halves of the moon on ethereal display.

On That Day

On the day I was born

The wick of a small lamp brightly burned

The rain met the sky with stubborn brute

It beat an anticipating sound on our tin roof

When I silently came

On that cold night in may

I slipped into a waiting arm

My tiny buttocks was firmly spanked

A Heart Apart

Who can tame my heart?

This beast that beats from the rest apart

Who can dance to this unique song?

That which slips unrequited of my cultured tongue

From whence will that one come?

That who will strut and with me prance

Make this feisty heart throb at first glance.

Who is she that will taste of the kisses of my lips?

Happy Child

No man owns a soul,
As soft and supple as a child.
No one so easily drown sorrow,
Like the crying baby,
Quickly and mild.
His charming smile he gives to all,
Asking in return only love.
His tender heart knows no wrong,
His elegant ways prone to no error.
He basks in his mother s love.
