yes, i started writing poetry by falling in love with nusery rhymes and I am a huge fan of poetry with rhymes. The most interesting part of writing poetry for me, has got to be the art of finding the words that have a similar ending or sound with the last word in the line above, which also makes the poem make sence. it is a truly creative process and for me, it's just fun. most of my poems have rhy,mes in them
i have however grown to appreciate that poetry comes in all sorts of forms and can be deep and rich and meaningful even with little or no rhymes. The most important thing has just got to be passing a message across in clearly stated forms that people can understand, appreciate and pick at first reading. this can be done directly, or indirectly using allegories.

Some poems here on naijastories do that for me, some are just a headache to read.

this is a nice topic. we should all contribute towards honning our skills.
