We Remember

Some call it the civil war
While others choose to call it the biafran war
For two and the half years it lasted.
That war that was synonymous to starvation.

For if we eastern brethens have separated
Where would “bia” be in Wazobia?
That war that begat peace
And restored unity.

Despite many heroes fell
It was for the Nation not to fall apart.
So, let’s render unreserved respects to them
And tell thoughtful tales of their bravery.
Tales the young crave to hear.

With their lives they sacrificed
To pay the costly prize
Though bullet wounds snatched many away
Their legacy live forever
