You Are No Different From The Dead

You Are No Different From The Dead

Even the dog can bark
And fishes sometimes murmur
But when you cannot say what you wanted to say
And had to agree to what was said
Know you are no different from the dead
Who are forced off by death.

Even the antelope can elope
And eagles sometimes walk in the open field
But when you cannot do what you wanted to do
And had to do what others wanted
Know you are no different from the dead
Who are forced off by death.

Even a sturdy tree can bend in reverence
And a river sometimes overflow its bank
But when you cannot go where you wanted to go
And had to go where others are going
Know you are no different from the dead
Who are forced off by death.
