SYNW promises to make 2018 eventful

The president of the Society of Young Nigerian Writers (SYNW), Mr Wole Adedoyin, has promised to make 2018 eventful, saying the group would be coming up with several poetry competitions in order to develop the talents of young writers.

Adedoyin stated this in a chat with Arts and Review on the literary organisation’s vision for the new year.

Speaking further, Adedoyin said, “we achieved a lot last year.

“Several of our members got published, with many of them getting published for the first time.

“This year, however, promises to be more eventful than last year.

“We are hoping to have a lot of poetry and literary competitions this year, as this will help develop the creativity in our members.

“However, we cannot do it alone without the support of well-to-do members of the public and even corporate organisations, who we want to partner with in order to develop literature in the country,” Adedoyin, who is also a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA), said.
