Eden

Eden

Inside the gates of gold
She abode
A beauty forever
Winsome, so captivating
Bewitching, so fascinating
A master-piece
A master-craft
The art of the Grand master
Dreams of love and passion
Fuelled my head, filled my heart
She, my object of devotion
She, my symbol of affection
Flawless yet un-blameless
Spotless yet un-faultless
I loved the one You crafted
I craved the one You made
Open love, open emotions
Eden is the place
Comfort and bliss never seen again
So fair, so true
She, like the sparking red wine
Your art, Your craft, Your pride
Together we dwelled
Endless succor, endlessly loved
Long before the serpent
Long before the pains that sprint
Before her whites were soiled
Before the snake that lied
Then the lights went out
Smeared the beauty, dent the art
My heart was broken
For me, for the one I loved
My woman, my rib
The gates of glory screamed to life
Before our very eyes
The graceful duo has become the graceless
I felt the whip, I heard her cries
We tumbled, out the gates of grace
Out the land of bliss and comfort
One mistake, one lie
And the glory was lost
To Thee I pray
Return to man again
Return to man that which we lost
Beauty, bliss, plenty, peace
Eden
