African gods

African gods on the streets of Lagos
Running after buses when there is holdup
Looking out for means to survive and meet up
Without realizing how much they can thrive without been wrong

African gods on the street of Lagos
Standing so strong in the cold and when the sun shines
Making out ways to sell more until the day goes by
Oh! African gods on the street of Lagos
Is this all you have to offer when you run after the blue bus
Is this how you choose to  rule when you move out like a real god
Is this all you were made for when you came out like the creator
Is this all you’ve got to prove to say you won’t give up
Oh! African god’s on the street of Lagos
Can you just remember that ye are gods?

  1. Wow! I love the creativity in this poem. These gods are hustling real hard, but author is rightfully saying; THEY CAN DO BETTER!
    I agree with you.

    Keep writing.
