The Lighthouse

Where the sun kisses the sea,
The watchman lives.
On this path where home calls,
Stands the grand, white tower.
The lodestar shines bright
Unmoved, unshaken
As I forge ahead
Heaving and tossing.
I dance to the rhythm of the sea
Nature’s inevitable worshipper.
Daylight swallowed into a bed of blue-
Black, glistening blue.
The seas clap
A standing ovation
For a feat I am unsure of.
The sea throbs,
Time crawls.
Night, then day.
The lighthouse at sea,
Therein I find refuge.
