Xmas at the orphanage

Its Christmas yet again. These periods are characterised by showcase of love, exchange of gifts, eating delicious delicacies ,luxury outings e.t.c.A lot but not all enjoy it that way.Festive Periods at the orphanage are usually very sad as the inmates hope that their wishes will come true and that maybe someone will come to visit or they will go to visit their relatives. So many times, this is not the case and Christmas can be a lonely time for them. These kids at the orphanage don’t have people to provide them with Presents, lavish them with hugs and showcase of love but they do have US;you and me.its easy to simply ignore or turn your eyes away from the suffering and problem the world has.but we don’t have to as they need our love, care and compassion.
Yesterday was an amazing experience for me;I spent the eve of Christmas and some part of Christmas at the orphanage playing, serving and generally helping the kids develop their intellect. We danced, ate, drank, participated in games throughout Christmas eve.it was a wonderful experience.i was busy and loved every minute.unfortunately time went quickly and when it was time to go,I dint want to return home.
During my experience,I was amazed by the synegic skills they possessed.they all wanted to take part and help with great excitement even though they are all very young, they still respected the rules. The children in some way are grown-up;they do all their laundry themselves, clean and help prepare dinner.in other ways they are like very young children;always looking for a hug,to be carried around on your back or be chased around the area.one thing;they love to smile..
I was also amazed by the incredible charge of optimism shown by all the volunteers that I met working there.the first few hours,I was wondering where all the staff found the daily energy, the optimism to smile, and the courage to encounter and solve difficult situations.I quickly found out that the smile and gratitude from all the children is the most powerful stimulant to continue.
When you share with people, what you receive back is always more. What you do by supporting, organizing, and coordinating an orphanage is just a drop in the ocean. But it is important to always remember that the ocean is beautiful and every single drop can make the difference. These kids also deserve to be happy as they have done nothing wrong.as indicated in our holy books,The act of continues charity is beneficial to a person even after death. Why not mortgage your future to a beneficial course? #Givingthosewithoutavoicecareandcompassion #christmasattheorphanage

Christmas at the orphanage, hmm; a nice way to celebrate Christ’s birth.

The piece has some issues e.g:
    * no space after a punctuation mark
    * the first word in a new sentence starting with a small letter
    * using a comma where a full stop would have been more appropriate etc.

Thank you very much@nnamdi. After going through it again,I saw all of that.probably I dint take my time to cross check it before posting it.point noted.

  2. Lovely piece but try thoroughly checking your work.
