Dark Edges

The pains a battered slave goes through

The viscous tears on the chin of a bereaved family

The blood sea red on the Syrian streets

The wounds inflicted by cupid on lovebirds

Poverty stricken on some who were once rich

The bass from the cry of the parents of this abducted kids

Betrayals and lies from this hood politics

Deceit, lies, bitter and dirty tricks

The land and the treasures

No man lives forever

But never say never

Just be a goal getter

And be clever in every endeavor

Be hopeful and full of smiles;
As there will be bigger and better days
You are destined to rise

  1. Cool Poem…
    I can see these are just your written thoughts…that’s what poetry is about sometimes – writing thoughts…

  2. What is life if we stop hoping ? I like these lines “Be hopeful and full of smiles;
    As there will be bigger and better days
    You are destined to rise“
    …… If we keep up the good fight, the bigger and better days will come.

  3. NICE ONE DEAR…IF YOU ARE FROM ANAMBRA TRY TO ADD ME FOR SERIOUS ISSUES…

  4. “Dum Spiro, spero” meaning: while I breath, I hope.
