I Am Different…

Black and White, Valencia, Contrast, Brightness, Fade… Yes Fade.
You see me fade into these shadowed images.
You think I’m biracial because of my filters.
I have black hair and brown eyes but that too can be changed.

Who I am without a filter is different.
I am change. I am pain. I am forgiveness.
I am a walking figure of feelings and passion.
I am different.

I am someone who always leaves loved ones broken
I am someone who keeps going longer than I can’t
I am anger, maybe cruel.
I am different.

In a world filled with chaos, order’s safety I refuse
My maturity defines me, not by celebrated births but by grieved losses
I am a broken heart left behind by the world’s distaste for grief.
I am wreckage.

  2. Beautiful poem, Rhoiy.
    I didn’t know you write poems too…..or maybe I just can’t remember.

    Well done, poet.

Thanks @praize I do write poems but I would not exactly call myself a poet. But thanks all the same; I can’t stop smiling.
