Gone

They ask, where have you gone?
They ask, what have you done?
They ask, where have you been?
They ask, what have you seen?

They ask; Oh! Keep on asking
Where the task ahead is so tasking
And I alone must keep to its path
And to accomplish it from the start

So! Hold me not again, no more!
I beg of you, please let me go!
To the bank of the streams
In where I can stare in my dreams

To bright cities and bright lights
Under the moon and starry nights
Where melody sings and harmony loves
And I can dance with angels and doves

Please; hold me not again, no more!
To tomorrow, let me go
I promise again, never to return
So you will know that I am truly gone
