Of Snakes And Tortoise

Of Snakes And Tortoise

The snake won’t cure for our disease
So we look up to the tortoise for healing
The snake have failed to protect us
But tortoise promise us, miracles
The snake fails to give us water
The tortoise provided anointing water

The snake won’t let us sleep with our eyes closed
But the tortoise say we can pray with our eyes closed
The snake always threaten us with his venom
So we hide under the shell of the tortoise
The snake will not feed us the truth
So we enjoy whatever meal the tortoise serves

The snake won’t give us paradise on earth
Well. The tortoise promise us paradise in heaven
Now snake and tortoise dine on the same table
And swallow from the same bowl
Now the snake tax us and tortoise tithe us
Our only hope is to copy the ants

  1. Good writing. Message clear. Though the rhymes weren’t too perfect
    Consider this:
The snake have failed to protect us
But miracles the tortoise promise us.

    I think it sounds better.
    Just a suggestion.
    Keep writing.

    1. thanks bro….
      love your observation..

  2. @obiink, nice analogy. Indeed its best to copy the ants… Proverbs 6:6.
Watch the tenses and syntax of the sentences.
    Well done.

    1. thanks… for reading… your observation is well noted
