March ’28

March 28 the labour day
If you’re not afraid you’ll march this day
Marching like our dispaired Chibok Girls
To where sorrow could meet them no more

March 28 the labour day
If you’re not afraid you’ll march this day
Marching like our Youth Service Corps
To where their unemployment shall be buried

March 28 the labour day
If you’re not afraid you’ll march this day
Marching like our optimist soldiers
To where parts of our territory was given out

March 28 the labour day
If you’re not afraid you’ll march this day
Marching like the victims of fake immigration job
To where they shared our pains in memory

March 28 the labour day
If you’re not afraid you’ll march this day
Marching like the apostles of change
To where they foresee a new Nigeria

The stings of my suffering said to me
I must march on March 28 to end all
But I am the most afraid of all
Justifying from deported logs to Ekiti and Osun

Some wool are left covered upon my eyes
Initially the labour day was set as February 14
Was it cowardice that they dared kill the date?
Was it perversity to murder our votes?

Our change is due to be crowned
I’ve something I must not hides
But must postponed it like our February 14
For truely I am afraid, I am the most afraid

I felt so honoured to march on March 28
But even so, I am honoured still more
Fears still seek my hospitality
The day is like permanent pregnancy

We must seek advice from peace
As we march toward the dreadful holes
For our Nation is broken along bitter politics
And yet depart from peaceful conducts

But if God must have it;
We shall meet Samuel at Shiloh
For we are tired of Saul
Because when Sodom burnt Gomorrah feels

March 28 the labour day
If you’re not afraid you’ll march this day
Marching with endurance that your vote cast
And still more endure that your vote count

  1. March 28, the labour day
if I can whisper and say
    the cloud in Nigeria
    will cause malaria and hysteria

  2. You have to work on your tenses dear, I am praying for Nigeria on that day. I pray most for peace to reign

    1. Thank you dear. That was then. I have improved a great deal. Please review my new post.
