I live a piper’s dream
building castles in the air…
dawn’d come soon, or so it seems
so I dream here, dream there
spurred on by him;
my hero, champion of my noble cause.
I dance to an unsung song
making plans for an unseen dawn…
Fooled by speeches thousand lines long
I become his toy and pawn
blinded by charisma ever so strong
I never can break away.
I sing a tuneless verse
jumbling masses of a shapeless curve…
I kiss that to which I’m averse
for my hero sent from above
has sold me his righteous lies
and now I live in dark despair!

Good one. I especially liked the last stanza. Well done.
