Who am I?
I am a little bird,
I am a big giant,
I am a dazzling sword, fighting many many battles.
I am the light in you,
I am the friend you need,
I am the kid that bleeds of the wounds of yesterday.
I am the friend you seek,
I am the wounds you lick,
I am the back you climb to reach life’s peak.
The days are long.
The songs are short
The times are trust on many hearten laps
I have a mark to make on earths sands of time
I have a deal to draft; I have a wound to heal.
This is beautiful and just perfect for a simple class on poetry.
In summary, who are you really? @arewa
Pretty poem……
I love the duality of humanity you describe in this poem. “I am a little bird, I am a big giant…I am the friend you seek, I am the wounds you lick.” Good job.
