The Kingdom Rage 2

It was getting dark and night is drawing near, the people of Abdusalamadeen are going back to their various homes after a very hard day of labour and torture from the hands of the evil Saheed and his soldiers. They look totally exhausted and famished something like a walking zombie being drifted away by the slighted gush of air trailing the atmosphere.
And then one of them started
lamenting….

” when will this suffering and torture end, this is just too much for us to bear !
Almighty Allah this is just too much, Please send us a messiah. Our caliph is there perishing in the prison each seconds, he is like a livestock waiting on the abattoir to relinquish his mission.”

There was a short silence for a while as they walk on the lonely desert road, crushing legs against the tough desert soil and stones making sounds of a trekking battalion. Hammed broke the silence abruptly
Saying…

“we the great citizens of Abdusalamadeen are forced to labour hard with serious torture in our own land. As if that’s not enough, we plant and harvest our own crops but we are forced to deposit them all at the palace for Saheed and his cohort to consume.”

Back in the palace. Location: (The prison)

In the prison located at the core end of the palace lies in the caliph of Abdusalamadeen. The prison is a secluded place but with few soldiers loitering around monitoring him so as to ensure that the caliph doesn’t escape. The prison building was built with hard concrete and thick huge iron rods materials. The prison door was made with all solid concrete except for the small hole made to check the inmate presence and passage of meal. It has also a small hole also at the back for ventilation, the only link to the outside world from the prison. So thinking of escaping from this dungeon is like a man thinking he can run away from his shadows.

The man in the prison looks so pail, dirty and malnourished with all out grown facial hairs and a bushy hairs which looking like a thick dirty tropical forest dirty. He has no clothes on except for the wrecked panties he is putting on to cover his unclad slef, he has marks of thick stripes at his back, even anobi Isa’s stripes is nothing close to it. He also have some facial bruises on his face. He is so weak and hungry,he hasn’t tasted food or water for days. He is in the state of half past minute to death.
The Caliph thought to himself

” I’m desperately in need of something to drink and eat Almighty Allah, i’m dying” .

A gentle wind blew in through the hole on the wall to his face, he closed his eyes because eyes sockets couldn’t bear the intensity of the wind, before he could open his eyes a Raven suddenly appeared at standing at the top of the small hole made for ventilation, he marvel at the sight of the Raven. The Raven faced him as was trying to stand up even tough his tired legs could hardly bear his body weight. Few seconds later to his amazement fresh clean water started gushing out of the Raven’s mouth. He immediately muttered to himself

” This is the handy work of the Almighty Allah, Allahu wak baur ( Allah is great ) !.

Then he moved closer, and he opened his mouth to the gushing water to quench his thirst, then he used some of the water to rinse his face. He felt alive and refreshed again . He whispered to the Raven saying

“Thank you oh messenger of Allah”

and the Raven flew away . His hunger intensified, the water successfully opened his stomach for food, so he sat back of the floor meditating and silently saying some prayers. Before he could open his eyes , lo and behold he saw the Raven again. The Raven came this time with a delicious looking roasted game in her beak. The Caliph’s taste buds automatically came alive immediately as he sighted the roasted game, he started silivating, yearning to grab and devour the roasted meat. He waited anxiously to get the game devoured and emptied into his stomach, it was as if the Raven was teasing him with the food by holding it back for a some seconds but she finally
dropped the food and away she flew……

The lamentation continued….. as they were walking home. From the shrouded distance they saw something from afar which looks strange something like a giant human all dressed with a black robe and a white cloth covering the head. Immediately they saw the image, they got startled, and gently most of them started retreating. Some of them bravely moved closer to standing giant human, they finally discovered the standing giant is a woman, the closer they get the taller she appears to them. These got them very terrified that all their bravado disappeared and to flee into the shrubs to seek refuge . One them was brave enough to stand and say

” I know we are all scared of this giant woman , but lets be bold for once and face her, what we face a day in this kingdom is far more horrific than what we are seeing right in front of us”

And some replied him immediately saying

“Allah will not make my eye to see evil, we are like committing suicide going to meet this giant of a woman and Almighty Allah is against it, we had better flee to the shrubs for safety”

After making the statement, immediately a great number of the people fled into the but while the few courageous ones went ahead to face the woman. Some of the people who fled into bush, bent down and started peeping through the shrubs plant to see the outcome.

Back in the palace

Saheed the real Shaitan personification was in the store house built right in the heart of the palace. Saheed, one of his army generals and about hundred soldiers was taking stock and inventory of the goods and farm produce in the store. They counted over a million bags of grains and hundreds of thousands of other farm produce. He saw the final figures of the goods in stock, he nodded his head with excitement and a grievous smile. And he said

“this is very good, I’m happy we are getting results. This land is blessed with a fertile soil. We going to sell majority of these produce, and leave behind the majority of the finest produce for me, my household, my army generals, the soldiers then masses will eat the let overs”

The statement provoked one of his generals and he said

” But bu….bu……the people of Abdulasamadeen are crying for food, majority of the people are starving to death and we are here stocking foods to sell to the neighboring kingdoms”

Saheed got vexed hearing the protest of his general, without wasting no time Saheed picked up a pen knife and strike the soldier by the neck, the pen knife slit the generals throat and he went down immediately.

Some of the people who fled into bush, bent down and started peeping through the shrubs plant to see the outcome. With great anticipation, they bent to watch. While the brave ones moved slowly and steadily with great caution with all alertness. As they got close to the giant woman, she turned around to face them, the men immediately pounced on her something like lions on an elephant. They wanted to disarm her but the giant woman was well alerted. She turned around abruptly and raised her hands up in response to the men’s attack and the strong magnetic powers from her hands suspended the men in the air immediately . The men became weightless, going against the law of gravity. They were hanging in the air, all the men could do now is to plead, cry and beg for mercy….

  1. I’m loving this…waiting for the next episode :

  2. @herexg, there’s an interesting story here; not only do I wonder if/how the caliph will escape his prison and regain his throne, but I’m curious to know what happens when the men engage with the giant woman.

But your story needs a lot of work – it is riddled with errors of all kinds from top to bottom, and those errors are burying the beauty in the story.

For example, you have these paragraphs:

In the prison located at the core end of the palace lies in the caliph of Abdusalamadeen. The prison is a secluded place but with few soldiers loitering around monitoring him so as to ensure that the caliph doesn’t escape. The prison building was built with hard concrete and thick huge iron rods materials. These would be much better as this (corrections in bold):

In the prison located at the end of the palace lay the caliph of Abdusalamadeen. The prison was a secluded place with a few soldiers loitering around monitoring him to make sure he didn’t escape. The prison building and door had been constructed using solid concrete and iron (did they have concrete/iron in those days? Perhaps it’s better to say ‘solid brick’) , except for a small hole that was used to check whether the prisoner was still present, and to pass him his meals. The prison also had another small hole at the back for ventilation; this was the only link to the outside world. So thinking of escaping from this dungeon was like a man thinking he could run away from his shadow.

The man in the prison looked so pale, dirty and malnourished with an overgrown dirty beard which looked like a dense tropical forest. He had no clothes on except for the tattered underpants he was wearing to cover his nakedness. He had thick scars on his back; even Anobi Isa’s stripes were nothing close to them. He also had some facial bruises, and he was weak and hungry; he hadn’t tasted food or water for days. He was in a state close to death, he
    thought to himself.

Please try and do better than this; take your time and pay attention to what you write.
