276 Girls

276 girls sitting in the forest somewhere
Guns pointed at them by brainwashed thugs
276 girls, day after day sitting and waiting
Does anyone care?
Their innocence taken, their hopes trampled on,
And the silent screams of their parents’ agony
Do not add up to a single headline
276 girls, what is the world doing?
Nothing is more important, nothing else does matter
They are our children, our tomorrow, our future
276 precious lives who are being thrown away
Discarded, forgotten, like they never were there
Are you tired of me counting the days?
Are you tired of being reminded?
276 girls withering in the forest somewhere
Special forces sighted them
Why are they not bringing them home?
My heart is aching, I can not bear the thought
Of yet another day without them
Another day WITHOUT THEM!
276 girls losing their lives in the forest somewhere
Does anybody fucking care?

  1. Hmmm still sad how they are still out there. Maybe the girls have even lost hope of ever being found……….
We just pray for a safe return 4 God to hear their cries not ours anymore.
i seriously thought by now they would have been found.

    1. @ufuomaotebele,thanks for reading.I thought they would be home too.It is very upsetting to me.I can’t help but think that there is not enough effort and interest from people who can actually get them out.

  2. Good thoughts. Say a prayer for the girls today.

    1. @mcsnol,thanks for reading.

God will lead em all back home

    1. @samenyuch, thanks for reading.I hope you are right.I also hope it won’t be too late for them to recover.

  4. We do care, but all we do, is sit in the comfort of our own homes, and talk about the situation. Those taking action are fewer than those talking, and that is why it is taking forever… it’s sad tho, that I am also one of those who can only talk about it.

    1. @olutossen, thanks for reading. This is not intended to shame people like you or me.We can only speak about it, write about it and go to protests. This is intended to shame people who have influece, money or power and who can do something about it.Why don’t they? These are kids and teenagers. They could be anyone’s daughters, sisters or cousins. They are real people. They matter.A world where kids can be snatched from their bed and nothing is done bout it, is not a world I want for my children.Something is wrong and it needs o be fixed. What you and me can do is keep asking until something is done.It is our duty as if one of this girl was yours or mine,we would want people to demand actions for her.We would want people to keep speaking about it.So let’s do this until they come home.

  5. great concern

  6. @jefsaraurmax nice and sad piece. I can really feel the pain pouring out of your words, I just pray “our girls” do get back soon.

    1. Thanks a lot @danjuma. I do feel like we all failed them somehow. I hope that they come back and that they can survive emotionally this horrific experience.
