One Night At Nine

With no fake credence
My words in cadence
Fall from my lips
Caressing her core without blips

She was my princess
My goddess and priestess
My primate in love’s altar
And my heart’s holder beyond earthly calendar

She was my counterpane
A fine specimen of womankind
With a skin gleaming like the sun
That I was glued to her without gum

Flashes of memories are bubbling in my head
Making my mind move ahead
Evoking love’s spirit
To make my queen love’s empiric

I’m missing her visits
And like a metaphysician with no astrophysics
I lie speechless on my bed
Dialing her number with my every breadth

I called but she wouldn’t respond
I’m in the airport, leaving for England
She said one night
Striking me with a plight

Though continents apart
She resided in my heart
Inspiring me like a muse
Making me enthused

But it was all a dream
And like after a Petrine
She had left me sad
As I’m becoming mad

Depressed and frustrated
Having tried to reach her aggregated
I began feeling my annihilation
As sunk was I in dissimulation

Many years passed like the wind
And I was becoming determined
Foraging for fulfillment
With little displacement

Then one night at nine
My phone bleeped as I was about to resign
I picked it up and it was she
And we spoke until three

Reuniting when she returned
I signed every appointment as adjourned
Welcoming and embracing her warmly
We kissed endlessly like the world has no end

Though am not into poems, but this is beautiful, touching, endearing. I could feel the pain of the narrator and I was actually happy for him when she came back. I will keep looking out for more poems.
