Naijastories Member Uche Okonkwo Wins Etisalat Flash Fiction Prize

On February 23rd, Etisalat gave out the prizes for their inaugural fiction prizes. Naija Stories member, Uche Okonkwo received £1,000 for her flash fiction piece while Zimbabwean writer, NoViolet Bulawayo, won the £15,000 first book prize.

Noviolet who won for her book, We Need New Names, will also get to attend the Etisalat Fellowship at the prestigious University of East Anglia (and mentored by Giles Foden), have book tours to three African cities; and most importantly, get the chance to start work on her second book.
