Pendulum

Swinging and stretching
Dangling from a hook
Life pushes
Life sways
Like a pendulum string

From the zone of brilliant rays
Where light floods the basking soul
To regions of grey and gloom
Where the sounds of sorrow reign

From colourful gardens sprouting life
Lovely lilies, lively greens
To the desert’s barren sands
Draining hope, tasking faith

From the lofty mountain tops
Issuing orders, wielding power
To the lowly valley dumps
Taking orders, hugging fear

Life pushes
Life sways
Like a pendulum string
Taking the docile hang-on bob
On a spirited ride
