I tell of a moment when heaven stood still
A time was the fathers will
To watch his son suffer paying the price
Oh its wonderful to watch Jesus rise
“Father, why have thou forsaken me” he screamed
A moment of despair, he felt far from redeemed
There stood death, with its deadly sting
There stood the host of hell, mocking songs sing
Said one angel to another “suffer he yet much affliction
Oh man, no hope from this condemnation
Only in death to descend deep into the abyss
Where the worms never die and there is no release”
Said another “oh Jesus is descended there
To face our adversaries, oh for his soul I fear
Such torment, such unspeakable pain
The demons tormenting him again and again”
“Go tell the father, I pray thee
Tell him not to forsake him, to set him free
Three days of screaming his lungs out
Three nights of no rest, with constant shouts”
“Is it not enough that the Romans didn’t do worse?
Dealt with him with no remorse
Oh for the sins of all see him suffer
Oh for the glory foreseen, in a place void of laughter”
The demons mocked “is this not he who rebuked us
Who cast us out without a just cause?”
They tossed him about, cared less about his anguish
Pierced him, mocked even more, with lava his skin bleach
Yet as curse rose from fallen Kings of old
From the billion souls trapped, with stories yet untold
Jesus screamed for the father, felt for sinners
“Oh what a fate, man truly need a redeemer”
I heard the father say “three days up, not a second more
I won’t have my son another pain endure
For truly he has proven himself worthy
This very day, I’ll crown him with glory”
I saw a wonder, I saw a beauty
I saw the Son rise, to assume a new duty
To reign supreme, king of kings, lord of lords
To him all glory and power, his might spread aboard
I saw Satan tremble, I saw demons flee
I saw them without control falling to their knees
“This is my Son with whom I’m pleased
He has shown great humility, from hell to be released”
The tears fell down Jesus eyes
Staring back into the abyss, the sound of cries
“These are forever lost, separated from me
Never ever to breathe life, never to be free”
And until this moment, heaven stands still
Jesus crowned, intercede to delay the fathers’ will
“Tarry oh father, I’ve paid the price”
In humility, let’s make this count..wonderful to watch Jesus rise

Forever jesus shall be.
Ahem, is it Easter yet?
