Tomorrow that never came

It was just a matter of minutes

And they were gone

The crowd cheered

Excited and satisfied

The photographers smiled at their scoop

“Babe I’ll call you tomorrow”

“Dapo I’ll give you the book tomorrow”

“Guy let me go I’ll see you tomorrow”

“Ade relax we go reason am tomorrow”

These they had all wished for

His Scream woke the people

They dashed out ready for battle

Descending on the accused

Like raw yam given a hungry goat

And tomorrow never came for them

Helpless they swam in

Flames that tore them in bits

With no one willing to give them a chance

What could be more Dastard

Than watch a fellow man roast to death.

From a hurting heart for the Aluu 4 killings and others who have been lynched .

I think its nice. I think I see what you’re trying to do – but you did not give yourself enough freedom to well-capture what you are seeing.

Try harder. You can only get better.

    Good.

I guessed this might be a tribute poem and you didn’t disappoint. I like that it’s a story :d an attempt to invoke emotion by painting poignant pictures. You jumbled that midway though, how do I know, I’m the king of jumble. Don’t be like me, keep it neat, let it flow, you’ll write masterpieces.

    That said, welldone.
