Life is good
Indeed life is good
Why won’t I be thankful for all
I have worked labored for?
Aha, did I say labor? Do I actually work?
Me, I help build this country
The money comes to me
Just the way sugar attract ants
I am a contractor to the government
I help build roads, schools and bridges
Let me see if I can remember some of the jobs
I have done for this country.
Yes I built the long bridge somewhere in Lagos
Though I heard it collapsed after three years
Well you will not blame me for that
If the citizens of this country choose
To be reckless with public properties that’s their business.
I also built the national stadium
They complained the facilities need a major overhaul
After they used it used it last year
For the national games festival.
That too is their problem
They will always complain in this country
If only they know how much goes into my job
As a government contractor.
All I have to do to get the job done
Is to grease the right hands in government when the money enters my account
Life is good oh
Indeed life is good
Have I not helped my kinsmen with my good fortune?
I provide them with drinkable water in my village
I pay the school fees of relatives who cannot fend for their children.
If we all come together to help
One another like the way I contribute
My own quota I tell you this country will be great
Aha life is good
Life has been good to me.

Hahaha…love this.
Sorrie guys just seeing the errors….I hope you get the understand it though.
I think the issue I have with this would be the structuring. It is a bit too forced – rather than flowing it reads awkwardly – at least to me.
I think the subject is novel though – I mean, unique in the way it chooses to address a familiar issue.
You get points for effort.
well done.
