Ibadan, We shall again

We shall again make it beyond their dreams

Beyond the heights our fathers can not see

We shall tread forth pass the hills of Mapo

And cross through the village reality of Bodija

Once again, strength shall full our bone to brim

In our hearts, we will be full of what feat to conquer

There would be no stars at night shone better than ours

And no houses as tall in the city we will build

We shall once again make into that promise

With smart labour to combat our smart age

Our crops shall once again be in abundance

With glory lifted for every eyes to marvel

Once again, all bliss shall encompass our estate

Every hub of Ibadan shall be a remix of Bata dance

In our traditional dance, all nation taste

And Mokola will dance the dance of ancestors

We shall once again make the head right

For the dead head causes death to the body

With love we turn mud to gold

We shall again work in the footsteps of time

Once gain, as we approach a time of ‘twenty

There will be light in our streets

Every map of Ibadan shall be a beauty

Twenty will bring plenty for us to rejoice
