Written to God on my Birthday
Everything will be fine in his own time. Amen. God is never far away from me. He is a reach away. When my faith can’t find him he finds me. He takes my hands, on those nights when I am drunk and can’t find my way home. He leads me when I fall in the ditch and think that life has ended.
God is there when I can’t raise my voice to thank him. He sees through me and appreciates what I think of him. He makes my frowns beautiful even when those around me cannot see what makes me happy. He is a beautiful God. He is a father who cares. He gives good gift. He makes me better. He lights my ways when I can barely find a pathway. He is God and no one is like him.
God is beautiful. God is great. God is awesome. God is so great. Amen. God is wonderful. God is bigger than my worries. God sees even in the thickest of nights, when I am lost in it claws. He finds me. He sees me and picks me up. He takes me up when my legs are so weak. He sings to me when I am sad. He is always by my side.
God will not forsake me. He will take me up higher than any man would have imagined. He is Jehovah. He is the author and finisher of my faith. He is the faithful God. He is in the now and in tomorrow. He is the sweet song that never leaves my tongue. He is that water that comes when I am thirsty. He is that delicious meal I see when my stomach growls. God is perfect. He is great. He is gracious. God is mine.
God is mine, now and tomorrow. God is so miraculous. God is meek. God is everything I can think of. He is the master poet. He tells more stories than Shakespeare. He is so wonderful. I love his ways, his schedule and his performance. He is so good. He is my hope. He is the one who makes me well and perfect. When I can’t afford the hospital bill he takes care of it. When I trekked to school those days he led me through. When I could not feed he sat next to me and assured me that things would be better. He is my safe guard. He is that man who I wish I could become. When illness came he came also. He arrived first and secured the ground. He raised me up. He made me up. He made me worth any deal.
God is that sweetness that can only be felt but unseen. When I could not attend a university he led me through. He gave me assurance that I would not starve. When I dropped out of school he told me things would be well. He gave me a wink and I smiled. When friends and peers lost the fight for survival he assured me that I would see tomorrow. When all I thought about was death he saw life in me. Those dirty days I could barely come to his presence he came to my aid. He made me well.
He has added another beautiful year to my years. I so appreciate him. I thank him. He is life and the giver of life.
Thank you, Jesus. Thank you so much.
Happy 25th birthday to me!
