Cheating Game

Who captains love wrongly in most relation-ships

And tries to shift blames when it hits the rock

After having promised to make a blissful dock?

Who plays a second fiddle

Even when their love has gone beyond its middle

Eventually pricking their partner with heart break needle?

Who plays more of the cheating game

Yet tries hard to keep “their good names”

And climb up the ladder of fame?

Who wears lies garment of truth

In order to keep it away from their loved one’s eyes

And maintain the ironic ties?

As answers to these questions take different dimensions

I wait and watch, waiting to mention

But how true am I sure is my notion?

The girls are pointing at the boys

The boys are doing just the same

So this is truly an act of shame?

Of which none ever wants to claim

Certainly, we embark on quests to quench our thirsts

But in the long run, is the juice always worth the squeeze?

Among guys, I know am not the best

But for how long shall we be blown by this lustful breeze?

A bystander I just am

On this guys, girls debate farm.

  1. Nice one, bystander.

  2. A beautiful piece, expressed in simple yet vivid pictures.
